What can I hire to cover an outdoor fete?

If you are hosting a Carnival fete outdoors, our three tipis are the covered options to consider. Each covers 415 sq ft and holds about 35 seated or 40 standing guests. Prices are per day of hire.

Tipi Tent, $2,500 TTD: made from canvas and wood, and weatherproof with its canvas cover.
Naked Tipi, $2,000 TTD: a structure for hanging décor and lighting. It has no cover, so it is not weatherproof.
Illuminated Tipi, $3,000 TTD: string lights are wrapped around its frame, so it can be enjoyed into the evening.

The seated figure of 35 is for guests on French Bistro Chairs, with a single table at the front. For more on choosing between them, see tipi or dome: which outdoor cover should I hire.

How are tipis kept in place outdoors?

On grass or soft ground, a tipi is anchored into the ground with metal stakes. If it is to stand on a concrete or hard floor, we provide ballast plates, which are weighted down with sand bags or, for an additional cost, with our restored Angostura rum barrels.

Which domes can I hire for a pop-up bar or display?

We hire three geodesic PVC domes. Each is 12ft wide and 12ft deep inside, with room for an eight-seater table or a bar.

Geodesic Dome, $1,000 TTD: uncovered, so it is not weatherproof.
Geodesic Dome Tent, $1,500 TTD: weatherproof with its cover.
Geodesic Air Conditioning Dome, $1,500 TTD: weatherproof. A portable AC unit is rented separately for an extra $600 TTD, for evening use only.

What can I hire for a bar and standing area?

Rum Barrel Bar, $650 TTD: an eight-foot bar made from restored Angostura rum barrels, at a height that suits bar service or a food station.
Industrial Cocktail Table, $200 TTD: a square bar table with a solid wooden surface.
Industrial Bar Stool, $70 TTD: a square metal bar stool. The version with a backrest is $80 TTD.

What seating can I hire for a fete?

Poolside Easy Chair, $100 TTD: a stackable easy chair in fade-resistant plastic.
grey 3 piece Modular Sofa, $1,000 TTD: an L-shape sofa with deep seats and moveable back cushions.
Industrial Stool, $30 TTD: a short metal stool, available in black and white.

What should I know before ordering?

Every order starts as a quote request, and a quote does not reserve items. Our team checks availability and then confirms your final quote. The prices above exclude delivery and set-up, which we quote for each order.

The minimum order is $1,000 TTD delivered, or $650 TTD if you collect and return the items yourself. Normal delivery and collection hours are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and anything outside those hours may cost extra. Frequently asked questions

How much extra does it cost to weigh a tipi down with rum barrels?

The ballast options for a tipi on concrete or a hard floor are 4 sand bag weights at no extra cost, or 4 rum barrel weights for an extra $1,000 TTD. Ballast plates are provided with either choice.

Can a geodesic dome have lighting?

Yes, for an additional cost each dome can be fitted with lighting. For an additional cost it can also be placed on a specially constructed wooden platform base, which gives added internal height. Ask us for the price when you request a quote.

Do I need to protect the furniture from the weather?

Our rental policy asks that all equipment is protected from weather at all times, unless it is stated as waterproof. The Tipi Tent, Geodesic Dome Tent and Geodesic Air Conditioning Dome are weatherproof, while the Naked Tipi and the Geodesic Dome have no cover.

Can I see an item before I book?

Our items are stored disassembled at our office in Picton Street, Port of Spain, so they cannot be viewed on a walk-in basis. You can arrange a viewing of certain items by appointment, but this is not possible for larger items that are constructed on site.
